Because most of the early fights are easy, feel free to equip a Diamond oculi, if you have it, in order to boost Aurora's XP gain. All of your Oculi will be returned to you so feel free to give some to Óengus.
Make sure to use all of Óengus's skill points because it will only be the two of you as you search for your friends. Act 8 begins with Óengus joining the party.
