Cinematic mod takes way too many liberties with the game's visuals, and butchers the look of the game as a result. Don't use the Cinematic Mod, it's an absolute mess. So it has been around 10 years since I last played HL2 so I wanted to enchance it with some graphic mod. Gunship mark has informed me to tell you guys to wait for 1. Open the first one and place the 'HL2MMod' found inside into sourcemods. Do you put proper folder on sourcemods? It worked for me, but only for the Half life 2 Update mod. It won't show up straight away, you need to restart steam. The games need to be on the same drive as the sourcemod folder, for me it's C: drive. Did it show up in you library? Mine didnt. Not sure if the problem is because it's on my D drive.
